Andrew has lost his third tooth as of tonight! This one was just barely hanging on but needed a little help. Andy is not a big fan of getting help from anyone to pull out his loose teeth but for some reason he let his dad yank this one out with the needle nose plyers. Boys!

Sugar Anyone?
I walked into the living room the other day to find Andrew on the couch taking a sip of something that didn't look quite right in my opinion. I asked him what was in the cup and he just looked at me and quite matter of factly said, "sugar". He then proceeded to take another 'drink' as if it was nothing out of the ordinary. I told him that we don't drink sugar and he pretended that he knew that and that it must be his brains' fault for drinking the sugar.
"Oh, I just don't know what I was thinking. My brain made me do it".
In Andy's little world, nothing is ever his fault directly. It's usually his brain, or sometimes his hands that get the blame for his little misdeeds. He honestly thinks that I fall for that. I just let this one go because really, what's the difference between drinking a quarter cup of plain sugar or a full glass of Kool-Aid?

Table Talk
This is probably the type of thing that you "had to be there" to think is funny but it made us giggle. We were eating dinner last night and had this jar of honey mustard sitting out on the table. Andrew knows of course that meat comes from animals, milk comes from cows, and so forth. And by golly this jar of mustard has a picture of a beaver on it with the huge word 'Beaver' across the top. Andrew sees it and says in a very calm but somewhat concerned voice, "is that beaver poop?" I wasn't sure if he was kidding because normally a 7 year old boy will look for any opportunity to say the word poop but it usually results in him laughing uncrontrollably. That didn't happen - he silently waited for our reply just as eagerly as if he had asked a math or spelling question at school. He really wanted to know and was very relieved when we told him what it really was. We all live and learn I guess.

Hiking the 'M'
Andy and I went and hiked the 'M' today. Tim was at work but that doesn't mean we can't go and have some fun without him. What a gorgeous day!! Yesterday we woke up to a couple inches of snow on the ground but this morning was absolutely beautiful! The trail was nice and muddy from all the snow yesterday. Andy had a blast tromping all over the mountain and sliding around in the mud. He's just like his daddy. There's a really nice flat spot up there so I think next time we'll pack a lunch and maybe even bring Tim along with us if we feel like it and have a little picnic up there. Man, as much as I like to ski, this spring weather is making me itchy for some nice hot summer days at the lake!

Getting Started
I'm just getting started on this and really have no idea how well I'll keep it up. We mainly wanted another place for birthmothers to be able to come and get to know us better more on a day to day basis and keep friends and family posted on any updates in the adoption area. I also wanted a place to write down all of Andy's weird little sayings and doings. He'll say something just completely off the wall and I always think I'll remember it but of course I don't. My goal is to record his craziness on here for all to enjoy. Andrew makes us laugh all the time. That's that for now. I'll be back when I have more to write! ~Liv
